Mayor's perambulation of the City bounds: Thursday 21 July 1825

The following article was published in Jackson's Oxford Journal on 23 July 1825. The city was much smaller at this time and did not even include St Clement's. Again only city officers and councillors appear to have taken part. The route is not described and no stones are mentioned; instead the emphasis is on the quality of the dessert and wine provided by Mr Bartram (presumably Robinson Bartram, landlord of the Town Hall Tavern in St Aldate’s:
