The Geoffrey Arthur Building, an annexe of Pembroke College known as the GAB, is on the towpath at the end of Marlborough Road. It was designed by Maguire & Murray architects and completed in 1989. Work on a project to rejuvenate the site began at the end of 2020.
Sir Geoffrey George Arthur, after whom the building is named, was a British diplomat who served as Master of Pembroke College from 1975 until his death in 1984.
Senator Richard Lugar, who laid the foundation stone, had been a Rhodes Scholar at Pembroke College from 1954 to 1956.
