GOEDE HOOP

Goede Hoop (Good Hope) was the name of one of the five ships of the Dutchman
Jan Van Riebeeck who founded Cape Town

 

Rhodes House was built in memory of Cecil Rhodes. It was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and opened in 1928.

The plaque on the right is at the east end of the boundary wall of Rhodes House facing South Parks Road. It reads:
