John North was elected Junior Bailiff on the council in 1431.
(Another John North who was elected Junior Bailiff in 1416 may have been a relation.)
North was chosen as one of the four Aldermen in 1432, 1434, 1436, 1442, 1443, 1444, and 1447.
North was elected Mayor of Oxford for 1437/8, 1438/9, and 1446/7.
