Cook’s Building, St John’s College

Cook's Building, St John's

The L-shaped Cook’s Building, dating from soon after 1555, can be glimpsed behind the wall that separates the two main quadrangles of St John’s College. The ornamental gables were added by John Jackson in 1641–2.

It is Grade I listed (List Entry No. 1300458) and is the southernmost building of St Giles' parish (the main part of St John's being in St Mary Magdalen parish).
